StowKit — Privacy Policy

StowKit is a home inventory app: it stores the places in your home and the things you keep in them. This page explains what leaves your device, and what does not.

What stays on your device

Everything works offline. Your places, items, photos, dates and shopping list are stored on the device itself. If you never sign in, nothing leaves it.

What we store when you sign in

• Account — when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a user identifier and, if you allow it, your email address. We use it to identify your account and nothing else.
• Your inventory — places, items, dates, notes, photos and the shopping list are copied to Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) so the same data appears on your other devices and, if you invite someone, in your shared household.
• Subscription status — whether your StowKit Premium subscription is active, verified against the App Store or Google Play.

Recognition of receipts, documents and voice

When you scan a receipt or a document, or add items by voice, the photo or the text is sent to our server and passed to an AI model that returns the recognised items. The photo and the text are processed for that request only. They are not stored on our server and are not used to train any model.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share your inventory with anyone except the people you invite to your household.

Deleting your data

Settings → “Delete everything” erases your inventory on the device and in the cloud. Deleting your account removes the account record as well. Write to us if you would like it done for you.

Children

StowKit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
